STINZEN estates and Stinzenflora in the Netherlands (2 galleries)
Stinzen estates or Stinsen estates are estates mostly in the North, East and Western part of the Netherlands. A special type of gardening started round 1700 with Mediterranean bulb flowers and other plants found on the trade routes of the Dutch traders and established first in Fryslan and Groningen, the northern regions in the Netherlands. This typical Stinzen flora described for these estates is found on other places too. Graveyards, churchgardens, other gardens, estate like gardens and more.
